Proper care for a new paint job on your car

If you have recently had a new paint job done on your car, you want to make sure it stays looking its best for as long as possible. The following are some tips to help you take proper care of your car's new paint.
  1.  Avoid washing your car for the first two weeks. During this time, the paint is still curing and can be easily damaged.
  2. Use a gentle soap when washing your car. Avoid using harsh chemicals that can strip the paint. A car-specific soap is ideal, but if you don't have that, a gentle dish soap will work.
  3. Hand wash your car. A drive-through car wash or automatic brush can damage the paint. Use a soft, clean cloth or sponge to wash your car and rinse thoroughly.
  4. Avoid parking in direct sunlight for long periods of time. This can cause the paint to fade and become damaged. If you must park in direct sunlight, use a sun shade to protect your car's paint.
  5. Don't wax your car for the first 90 days. Wait until the paint has fully cured before applying wax, as this will help protect the paint and keep it looking its best.
  6. Touch up any chips or scratches as soon as possible. This will prevent rust from forming and help maintain the appearance of your car's paint.
  7. Store your car in a garage or covered area if possible. This will help protect it from the elements and keep the paint looking its best.
By following these tips, you can ensure that your car's new paint job stays looking great for years to come. If you have any questions or concerns, be sure to contact us for advice.
